Crystal - 03/21

The first three hours today made up for all of my Sunday at Crystal. Sunny, warm, couple new in places to smooth out some of the rough spots. Spent all morning doing a few runs out around the Throne and multiple trips down Powder Bowl and Bearpits. PB was definitely the snow of the day with BP’s a close second for me. The snow pack is making a lot of ski lines doable for the first time in 10 years. Gonna be a awesome spring season if we get a few lucky sunny days. All sunny slopes will be a disaster tomorrow if its very cold or not sunny enough to soften it up. Noticed during the Noon hour when the foggy clouds blew in that it was already firming up. Don’t remember seeing any significant snow fall while I was there today. Bailed early at 1pm. ddk

I felt bad for the early bailers as the afternoon turned back into winter with 3 - 5" of light and dry accumulated in about 3 hours.  Green Valley was very good especially grubstake out to stockholders and virtually abandoned.  Even finished with a frontside run which was firm underneath but definitely fun and much softer with the new snow compared to earlier in the day.  Amazing the difference a couple of hours and few degrees can make.  Looking forward to tomorrow.
