South backcountry hadn't been open for a few days, so Art Freeman and I headed up to check things out. Very light crowds and sunny skies @ 14F. They opened the gates just after 10am. Many laps with great snow in A-basin. We came across quite a few slides probably from the day before, that had run into the basin below the King. Weather socked in with high winds on the hike up after 1pm. Up to the King and some really deep snow off in the trees into Silver basin ended the day.
