Okay…waited long enough to give all the other folks a chance to give a view….Here is mine. For me – five days mostly at Blackcomb, a couple of short trips over to Whistler via the Peak-2-Peak (always impressive, better the first day when we could see something, not so impressive a few days later when it was pretty much a fog out – but it is a great way to get from mountain to mountain when the village is kinda wet like most of the last week). Short report – not - big crowds on the weekend especially with upper mountain wind and deep snow problems (and the fact that Dexletrator was running on diesel for that last week and a half – very painful – there are lots of mid mountain runs that are fun (ouch oh my – Gnarly Knots tree run!!!, always deep, always fun) and you also need to do E-Dexlalarator for all the big stuff from Spankies and Crystal ridge (all the jewel bowls and Arthurs!!! – one of the nicest and longest gladded tree runs on the mountain that I know about – I keep lookin – found another great deep untracked tree run over by one of my fav runs – Gearjammer (always like that run – but skiers right in the big woods – oooohhhhh mmmmyyyy. So back to the short report – 5 days, lots of big winds at times, some crowds at times (variable unknown reasons sometimes early), lots of days early were no lines for me, best day was the last when the entire Whistler world south to north was open, got great Pako and Saudan runs, 10” avg new everyday – yes everyday– what a bad thing, very cold light early snow in the day, but 5 days on the big (relatively fat) Coombas made life pretty easy in the heaver afternoons, Snow pack is huge! At this time, its only getting deeper. Might be a record snow depth year. Will be a awesome spring. Very fun with the whole gang - thanks t6o all. If you can break away to Whistler – I’d go. ddk
