Crystal 3/10 was created by Scotsman
After a good night where deep repose and the welcoming, healing oblivion of guilt free sleep had been bestowed on me after a busy day of guiding the members of TAY with my wisdom , I awoke and donned my knee length smartwool long johns and looked at the Crystal telemetry while sipping a cup of java.
The results were inconclusive and I reached an impasse as to whether to go or not.
A call from Joedbaker awoke me from indecision and I quickly donned my stylish pants and departed for Crystal to meet with the joedabaker.
Two hours later as I pulled into a parking spot, a pickup pulled next to me and out jumped Kneel Turner armed with skinny assed retro sticks. "Why the hell did you bring them?" I asked incredulously." I thought it would be frozen coral" he replied. I laughed in a superior way and shouldered my super fat skis armed with extreme rocker and we proceeded to the awaiting lift.
A quick call and we  reunited with our buddy Joe at the bottom of REx and we proceeded onward.
Joedabaker and Kneel had not seen each other for a while and the lift ride up was entirely monopolized by the two of them talking about bloody telemark bindings. I feigned interest and as we disembarked I told them both that there should be an Oprah program dedicated entirely to angst about telemark bindings .
We proceeded down Upper bowl via John Wayne to the base and the snow was deep, heavy and mostly untracked. There was considerable wind transportation going on and we all agreed it was a day for caution and staying in sight of one another.
Another run from the top and they closed REX due to the wind.
We decided on a Boondoggle via TLC but were rewarded with a closed gate. Joe decided to depart so KT and I spend a few more hours milking the best that can be milked out of Forest Queen runs .
On one run down Bear Pits I slashed a large pillow which broke off in a 2 ft slab and knocked me face forward straight into a tree well. I could see KT below watching for me and I was able to get out after a bit of a struggle and a downward somersault but it was definitely a day to be cautious about tree wells.
By 2:30 I'd had enough  of Forest Queen runs and one last jaunt down Downhill to Frisco tress to Deerfly to  base and I was ready for home.
KT and I exchanged a cordial pole high five and I left him to it and departed for a 3 hour drive home due to PNWesterners not being able to drive safely in the wind as well as  the rain seemingly and some heinous traffic as a result.

No worries Scotty. Safety first. I don't mind waiting for you at the bottom of the hill in my antiquated bindings and skinny assed retro sticks.
