Because they all skied really well and there is no reason for arm chair comments when kids are there to have fun. If kids really are reading this they don't need comments like that. I assumed most sub 17 year olds don't frequent TAY year but again who knows. As you mentioned they need encouragement and most of all it must be fun. The best part of these sports is not winning its the camaraderie and participation that's important. I applaud your enthusiasm.
The comments I deleted should come from the kids coach.
BTW the snow was much better on Saturday. The warm air started to mess with the quality on the north slopes as well Sunday except in the FFF where its always good.

Well put Matt. I will work on less tail skidding. I know you are humble, but I figure I can take something away from a guy with World Champion Hardware to back up an opinion.
My Dad coached football over 35 years and he told me that if my football coach is telling me to do something different than his coaching, even though it may be ineffective, do it the way my coach tells me and have fun being part of a team.

Matt, apologies as I was unaware of your credentials. Maybe you should do some coaching for these kids? Or maybe you already do?
You're probably right that they're not reading here, and no doubt worked your ass off to achieve what you have achieved so you probably know how important support was when you were younger and how hard it is to really get to be good. I would never suggest they ski better than you, but I am proud of them, even those not my own. I can't speak for all of them, but I know mine are pretty much always open to learning to be better skiers.
