Wind blown, wind packed, heat damaged crunch turned into the best non-powder snow I've skied. Packed powder that carved boot-top deep, with sunny weather, was awesome skiing. It will be great the next few days.

Great skiing with my ski buddy number 1 was tempered by the sadness of Paul Malby lost on the mountain. The search was in full swing today with groups of patrol and volunteers headed out into North and South back before they were opened to the public. Everyone was asked to be on the lookout in treewells and hidden spots. Even with good weather and all the people looking, nothing was found.
