Spent the long weekend sampling Beaver Creek and Vail for the "resort experience". HUGE areas, lots of lifts, miles of turnpike wide groomers, dry powder, very few old guys on twintips, a few locals on AT gear, free, warm cookies at Beaver Creek base served by nice hosts, $35 to park and walk, $100+ for A ticket, $20 for chili, cookie and coffee. Watching the nice lady from Ft Lauderdale take out her $710 a day ski instructor gettin of the chair was priceless. Was an eye opener for me with my limited history doing big resorts. Kinda missed Crystal, the cattle cars and the FOGs. Realized most folks don't ski nearly as much as we do but they are more than willing to spend all the money for a 4 day weekend. Off to Regenexx tomorrow for a week of stem cell repair to the knee. I'll see you back at Crystal if it works.

The Vail Assoc resorts are a great lunch and apres ski "people watching" location.  I remember the warm cookies a couple years ago.

Good luck at Regeneex. You may return bionic.   ;)

Jill has her ACL surgery on March 1st.  She's really interested in your experience at Regeneex because of her other knee which has had a lot of work.

OK, you've seen how the wannabes ski.  We appreciate the TR's, but now you need to get back to your good old dirtbag "keepin it real" PNW ski crowd.  And I'd hurry cause conditions are gettin epic fast.
