That's what I specifically asked him because I was assuming you could use a 11/12 pass but was worried about how they would deal with getting quad season passes issued in the three days between 10/11 season pass expiring and the Spring season starting. I think, based upon his reply they are still working it out but the impression I got was that yes, they were going to sell a specific spring pass.
He also mentioned getting mtn bikes in gondola this summer but how that would be charged wasn't discussed. I hope those are just day passes.
Edit to add:
BTW having a good breakfast at the summit house and then going touring properly caffinated, hydrated and with a belly full of sausage and bacon felt very very euro!
Additionally I talked to him about the recent threads on TAY regarding the trashing of GV by FTrackers the other day. He said he had read the e-mails sent and admitted he let them ski too long in response to the fact that they had had a lift breakdown and all the FT's were standing in the cold after paying their money. He mentioned that Joedabaker had emailed the resort about it and just as he said that my phone rang and it was Joedbaker. I said to John..." Look who's calling me right now"
So Joedabaker is correct that they do read the e-mails sent to them FWIW.

Spring Pass? Does that mean it won't be part of the 2011-2012 Winter pass? Like buy an additional pass to ski spring '11.
Heard more rumblings that a permit to haul mt bikes up the Gondola is in the works. Would require a summer pass?

Really? To each is own I guess. Upper Lot C is where I ALWAYS park unless I'm early enough to get into A lot. I find the walk warms me up and 90% of the time you can ski right to your car at the end of the day without the grit and asphalt that is on the road to A, B or Lower C lots.
Also much easier to have a discreet pee-pee on the tires of your car in Upper C.

I have been skiing at Crystal for about 40 years and had never even heard of the Upper C lot before. No shuttle service and a long trudge to the lifts. Did CMskier/kkz just drive by the parking attendant to get to B lot?

...skiing to your car in lot C requires that you take the Gold Hills chair to access a *closed* trail that allows you to access the old east peak trails in order to find your way to your car...my 6th sense tells me that such a maneuver in the future will cost you $1,000 (if snagged)...haven't tried this trick this season, but in years past that *sign* was strung over the trail head via a rope...

Good Point on the fine CascadeSkier. I did not think of that.
Upper C can be accessed if there is enough snow on the roads to ski from the Silver Skis Condos the back road by Black Tusk.
