Crystal - 01/31

Sorry for all the non-believers…but here comes another unofficial marketing report! Had fun again – sorry – drove into the parking lot at 8:25, second row, jumped onto RG at 8:45, skied down LS with fogy freezing goggle screwing conditions, but nice snow under the skis. Lasted about the first 45 minutes, after that at least the only negative was the sometimes bad vis. Snow quality for the groomer crowd (that did not show up) was great – LS, IceFerkberg and the groomed parts of the Valley were nice…did not have to do them too much to make the vert oh meter today. Did runs down Grubstake Trees, Ann and Dan runs early, M-world (doable but not repeatable), Door 4 off of REX, Lucky Trees and multiple Bearpits runs (OuterFerks, left most BP, Kkz BP and a few others). Got lucky for a few runs up in HC basin, and a very nice just enough vis run down the center of Powderbowl. Quit early to be a responsible son at 1pm with 31k of making me a better skier conditions. Heard rumors that NW was actually pretty nice...thought about checking it out, but ran out of time. With any decent vis tomorrow there should be lots of fun opportunities, wish I could go, but will have to wait till Wednesday. ddk

Conclusion ;ddk is responsible for current conditions at Crystal.

Ha, thats a good one....had just as many reports last year (a really bad year for many) on a different web site, plus a 100k more vert...kinda a slow year. Personally, other than not many knee deep powder days I've had a pretty good season. Didnt post any Crystal reports last week and from rumors I heard it was ..... mostly.

Couldn't have been in 84 -- Monty Python and the Holy Grail was released in 1975. It was my favorite film in high school.

Too bad they cut / never filmed the "Sir Brian" scenes... "Left, left, left", "Are those your kidneys?"
