Nice pow day at Alpental. I-90 in the morning was pure madness, people with no concept of driving in the snow spinning out everywhere and putting on chains in the middle of the freeway. I seriously thought I was going to get hit by at least once... Anyway, back to the snow, very stable, over a foot of powder at the top, Nash entrance is still getting scrapped, but was better than last week. The back country was hardly tracked, fresh lines all day long. There was still a little bit of a crust about half way down, but the new wet snow was consolidating pretty nicely, made for some good tree skiing. The lines were pretty long but not huge either..
