Crystal - 01/01/11

Great first day of 2011….01/01/11…Big sun, fairly light crowd, no lift lines were I was (REX and HC). Views from Hood to Baker. Music playing at the top of HC to get the right beat before dropping into PB – did it 3 times in a row and then a couple more later with Ferd – nice to see him. Took a chance on the Gondy…jumped into the line sometime after 8am and ended up on the second bucket. Lots of happy folks. On my last lap of Exterminator asked someone at the front of the line how long he had been waiting – something like a half hour at 2pm – line did not look that long, but….Got pretty warm on the sunny slopes today, no real winds to cool things down, might be a little crispy in places. Shady slopes are primo packed pow, with increasingly bigger bumps – have not had a work out like today in a long time.

Crystal Mt should name the run directly under the Gondola "Dan's Run"

And since you are getting the most vertical feet this year, Crystal should give you a free season pass for life and make you an ambassador.

I think that they should rename the whole area after him as credit for the handful of reports that he has given this season. Step aside Jake Moe, we are in a new era of ski area reporting.

Dan's Lame Ass Shoulder?

Ha Ha...I'll try to refrain from posting any extra info for you all. How is Jake doing? I see his new web site is finally up and running. Shoulder is a little sore from all the bump skiing today.
