How is the snowmobile action in the surrounding backcountry? Isn't that mostly legal motorized terrain?
I think you're right. We don't usually go out of lift serviced terrain where the snowmobiles aren't allowed. We do see their tracks all over outside the resort. Not sure why there weren't any where we were yesterday.

Way to get after it Eric and Elisa, that zone is usually highmarked to shit as well as wind and sun crusted as you probably know. Unfortunately I'm out for at least a couple more days with some broken ribs from my collision with that tree. I might be ready for some meadow skipping by the end of the week.I think you're right. From the looks and location of that bruise, I think you got lucky with just broken ribs. Elisa reminded me, after we saw you, that it was her encounter with a tree that prompted us to start skiing with helmets.
