Crystal - 12/31

Quick and dirty Last day of 2010 report – fairly big crowd early, big lift lines in places, high overcast filtered sun…but things improved! High Campbell no real lift lines, not bad lines on REX and GV during the afternoon hours, lots of nice sun and big views during the late morning and afternoon hours (2:30 quit for us). Great Rocky Mt. packed pow as the day progressed. Finished with a big run down the lazy entry to E with CD– very nice. Sounds like the Gondy will be running tomorrow based on what I heard from the top dog. Snow quality very good in most places, very nasty rocks off the top of High Campbell, but only 10 feet worth. Lots of cars in the lots. I’m ready for after holiday skiing. ddk

A great packed pow bump day. First in a while (this year? Lost track) Great snow, great weather. And, looks like a repeat for a few days.

Rocky Mt packed pow? Crystal has better terrain and today, the perfect (non-powder) snow.

Huge parking day, cars everywhere and more motor home coming up as we drove down. Will be a big new years party tonight.

Lots of great terrain in the Rockies...Ajax, Aspen Highlands, Telluride, Crested Butte, Jackson Hole...all can have great packed pow after big dumps and long dry cold spells...kinda like what Crystal has now.
