Dec 31, 2010, Snoq Central & West was fastish

12/31/10 – A nice end of the year morning. Super cold for the PNW at 8F, broken overcast, no new but well groomed for 3rd chair on Silver Fir at 9. Fast cruising and a few first track turns in a handful of stashes were enjoyed. Hogwild/Silver Nug/Pigsty was pretty cut up but still fun-ish. Headed over to empty West for some zippy cruising under Easy Rider and to mark up some more firstie stashes, then Parachute off to the left wasn’t too shabby even though the middle groomed line was a train wreck. Called it done enough to bail as the crowds were starting to stack up by noon. TomK & Kerry.

Central was nice and quiet 9-12, good skiing early on soft courderoy, a little icy on steeper slopes after 10AM.  By noon lift lines were 15-20min even at Silver Fir, so we headed for West.  No crowds at all there, snow was still nice soft packed powder everywhere.  Sun Valley conditions at Snoqualmie, good way to close down 2010.
