Sitting in Puyallup after coming down last night for a well deserved day of rest based on the NOAA est of 1-2 overnight. How come those weather guys get paid right or wrong ? ?

Yesterday ended up being a good day for trying out my new boards...what my friends were referring to as being heavy skied just fine with my Armada JJs....I've definitely drank to coolaid on funshape skis now :)
The afternoon stampede out the southback gate was bad at first, but by the second lap it seemed like the crowds had thinned.

Yeah funshapes were the ticket yesterday! The initial conga line out the traverse to SB was as slow as I've seen it. We got stuck behind a family with a little kid who couldn't sidestep or stay clipped into his skis... But powder turns down Hourglass were totally worth it. And best run of the day was the 2nd run out Silver Basin, untracked at almost 3pm. Though come to think of it we skied untracked lines all day and only waited in a couple of 10 minute lines. Guess we got lucky :)
