Kudos to Patrol and lifties for getting Rex, Gv and Northway dug out. Tasty laps in the trees, exposed areas were very wind affected as expected. Patrol was keen on getting upper mtn open before the next storm cycle hits. Sometimes the weather in person is a bit different than from afar. My take is that CM makes every effort to get all of the mountain open. Contrary to conspiracy theories there is no incentive to keeping the mtn on wx hold. Great day after Christmas crowd, opted for B lot lunch then some social tree skiing this afternoon. Nice to meet up with DDK's pose. Ho Ho Ho

Wind direction is just as important as speed in determining whether or not a chair can run. The lifts are a bit more protected when flow is more westerly, as it was today. Yesterday the wind was blowing roughly perpendicular to the chair lines. Not surprising they couldn't run them.
