December 23, 2010, Mt. Baker Storm Skiing

Maybe I need to use more emoticons to convey the light-heartedness that I intend. I was just razzin' '8484 a little.

Marcus, if I know Brian like I think I do, it'll take a lot more than a few crappy comments to make him shut up

Baker's gonna get 15" tonight, maybe I'll post a few pics of/for skier8484 tomorrow!

Ha! Okay, fair enough chmny -- I thought that's what I picked up on originally, but it's tough to tell -- I'll shut up now

Sometimes the uber up tightness vibe of the site is a real downer. 

Maybe a grumpy old curmudgeon section is in order for those who can't bare the faint whiff of the slight possibility of a comment that could possibly be construed as mildly offensive.    :'(

..or optional software that could translate for those with a delicate disposition.

For example:

post some pics, you're wasting my time.

would read:

Please friend, I would kindly appreciate some photographs of your recent skiing trip, sharing images of your adventure would greatly benefit my experience of reading your report.

The grumpy curmudgeon section is in the works, but we can't settle on a good name.

In seriousness (and I'm not sure how much you're directing your comment at me, Snow Bell, or what), it's been a long week, during a time when I'd rather be out skiing, when I've instead ended up hip deep in a few threads here. As a result, I'm probably a little more hair-trigger right now than normal, so skier8484, chmnyboy, etc, apologies for getting in the mix on this one.

I've been accused of being uptight in the past (no surprise, I'm sure), but for what it's worth, I'm doing what I can to moderate (heh) that and, in turn, how it effects the site.
