Nice day, more wind than expected (sadly closed Ch 6 – all day and less sadly GV – for a while mid day), more early REX problems than should happen this time of year…only one lift op early running around, better later when a few extra bodies helped keep the lift running mid day to early afternoon. Did I mention winds – way bigger than anything I expected (or anyone else on the mountain that I talked to), but the winds did do some nice grooming of the front side of REX (and GV bowl), kinda like skiing a groomer run at very high speed on steep slopes. Thanks to CD for a lot of fast runs. Fun on 6 till it shut down, a couple of suffered runs out Northway (actually nice), lots of runs on REX front side – primo run might have been Breakover to Showtime. Great day, ready for more. ddk

FYI: GV was not closed for wind. I was in the line when it broke. Mechanical problem which required a "mechanic." Have to agree about the front side yesterday. Deep wind blown powder and cold temps made for awesome skiing and with horrible weather conditions very few people.

Yeah Dan your awesome reports are doing a great job of drawing up more customers and making less powder available to us who are trying to keep it on the "Down low"
BTW I miss our weekly Thursday reports from Larry_Trotter.
