A really fun day of cut powder bumps. Unfortunately it is skiing down to the rain crust from last weekend in many areas and will expose more crust as the skier grooming continues. Coverage is great and the areas worn to the rocks are easy to avoid for now.

Watch out for elk on the highway near Greenwater. Huge bulls, so tall that you look under them from your car as they walk across the road.

Good that you mention that!
Please don't do as a guy in front of me today did and suddenly stop his rig completely on 410 even when the elk passed to the side, while parked in the middle of the road, pulled out his camera so he could get a few good pictures.
Isn't it Illegal to stop in the middle of a highway to get a couple nature shots?

I think perhaps there should be a sticky here with the title, 'Idiot Drivers on 410'.

No doubt about it.
On the way up the hill yesterday there was caravan of vehicles that I got into where the speeds were 35-45 and sometimes 25 on a road with ice. OK pretty slow for the conditions, but manageable since I left early enough to compensate. Around Buck Creek the lead car decided to come to a complete stop, then throw a U-turn right in the middle of the highway. 6 vehicles did the same thing right after the 1st. I thought, crap the road is closed, but once the U-turners left the scene it was clear sailing all the way up. WTF ??? Why is it that people regard a main icy highway like a Cul-de-sac in a neighborhood?
