Crystal - 12/14

First, I would like to thank all the folks that did not show up today….it made for a more casual morning (and day) skiing and re-skiing untracked powder lines from Bearpits through Lucky Shot Trees all the way across the front of REX and a few runs in GV doing Ann’s and Dan’s fav lines. All good, all a whole lot better than expected. Took the skinny Crossfires expecting some nice groomed boiler plate groomer runs and some light smoke off piste….the Coombas would have really been happy today. All deep and very little hard crust under the new. Only nasty area was the first 20 or so feet below the road across the middle front of REX…cat pushed some snow boulders down slope to watch for. Snowed hard all day, except for a really nice sun break during the 10am hour. The telemetry showed some really big wind gusts…but the winds had no impact on REX or GV today. Should be really nice tomorrow if the snow keeps falling – should be nice even if it does not. Will be a lot bigger crowd on Wednesday. ddk

Yes. The snow was very cold and light so that the skiing resulted in massive billows of trailing cold smoke. The rain smoothed things out as well.

Glad you boys had a good time. I enjoyed my massage and acupuncture as well.
