Well that's interesting info. Thanks. I was on the right side and riding solo. It was a pretty serious injury in that it decommissioned for today and probably until Monday. I grabbed the center bar when I loaded and did everything I normally do without problem and it was my third trip up the lift. It looked to me like the liftie merely touched the chair and did virtually nothing to slow it down. I am not willing to ascribe nefarious motives, just felt that he did not take care of business at my expense.
I wrote an email to guest services but have not received the favor of a reply as of yet.
I know what your saying Keith. I had perfect alignment and just tried to sit down and not touch anything and it nailed me. The run before the person I was with had it happen to him on that side and I thought nothing of it until I got on that side. Not sure what it is, but I recommend skooching up a little to get on so the person on the left make contact with the chair first and then the person on the right sits down. No problem with the calf contact.

Hadnt noticed lift op problems in the past...unually I like to grab the center bar myself and slow it down, espeically when no one is really around...that said I've noticed a lot of leg bangs this year (thanks a lot Bandit, you quit and the place goes to h.ll) thought it was just me.
From past experience loading Ch6, I can say that ddk is an expert at self loading. The trick is to follow the chair into your bottom, never loosing sight of the chair. A little hand bump and timed sitting makes the transition as smooth as a babies bottom. Another guy, about 6'5", loads smooth also. He places his hand on the actual seat as he loads. Smooth. This would also give me time to grab a snack in the shack. Thank you ddk!
Usually the weekend skiers stand stiff at Ch 6 , not looking at the chair , as if they are loading a detachable quad , and get clobbered.
It's sounds a little different here. It sounds as if the liftie is not being diligent in observing the skier/chair location as the skier is loadiing. It is a fine art to "bump" Ch6. It takes practice to perfect the art. I think Crystal Mt should pay me to give a class on the "Art of Bumping Ch6" for smooth loading". LOL!!
P.S. Just showing off the quiver!

The current lift op on chair 6 is a noticable slacker when it comes to bumping the chair; he puts no effort into it and seems to have a surpressed surliness.
Accurate description of the malaise lad. I had the unfortunate opportunity to work with him. Not sure what happened in the hiring process, but not very many lifties returned and the quality of workers, in my honest opinion, dropped dramatically.
