Alpental 12/5 was created by Charlie Hagedorn
Decided to take the season pass for a spin while winds were weird and lap the Armstrong chair. Scraped and tracked out, but still fun. A little avoidable gravel showing through at mid-mountain. More snow would be more better.

I'd never skied any of the other Summit areas, so a quick drive to Silver Fir convinced me that it was more exposed to the wind, flatter, and more crowded than Alpy.

Granite Mountain had considerable reverse (from usual) crossloading on the S ribs.

Yeah - reverse wind pattern from what's usual.

**12/5/10 – Chilly up there today once you got up out of the lowlands – 25F and the 25mph wind brought the wind chill temps down to 6. Broken clouds with plenty of sunbreaks made for great visability. A lower crowd count than yesterday with only short waits for a few of the busy lifts like Central Express. Started at West where there was lots of room to play on Wildside and then crossed over to Central for a handful of runs. TomK & Kerry, & Karrie
