Crystal - 11/28

Thought today would be a somewhat marginal based on the enjoyment factor the last couple of days….hhhhmmm….ouch, it was even more primo than expected! Very light crowds – no lift lines anywhere, 3 to 5 new smoke to freshen up the slopes, and lots of fun ski lines that did not get skied out very fast, since I was the only Amigo in sight. Did runs from the rope line off the Throne (new location) to Grubstake trees off of the GV chair. Gotta say that what I did was good and maybe the best of the days since T-day. Still got rocks in places, but not to bad. Found my fav rock free low impact easiest traverse out south off of High Campbell – even with out the future great road. Now I’m watchin WM High Impact movie on cable, with the big Plake Mohawk! Great! Gotta luv that guy talkin down the big extreme boys. Anyway it was a great day at Crystal, thanks to all you folks that did not come up and fill up the lift lines. New crowd o-meter indicator – no packs and shoes on top of the lockers in the men’s room at the base, B lot maybe 4/5’s full, Pay lot pretty typical. Sounds like Tuesday and Wednesday will be the big days this week…plan on a responsible day off tomorrow. Big Vert day for the hamster crowd. ddk

I went up as well.. The snow was pretty good, heavy consolidated powder under 2 inches of new. Not a pure powder day, but there was some stashes to be found where it felt fluffy. Lots of rocks are still out there though, more throughout the day. Hopefully it will keep snowing, because they need it. Southback was pretty nice though, not a lot of tracks, some of the runs are still too rocky to drop.

Anyway, Powder Bowl should be effectively called P-Tex Bowl, and High campbell triverse should be called core shot lane. Thank god for rock skies. Overall though can't complain for the end of November.
