Crystal - 11/27

Another day, another big fun time. Not as sunny all day as yesterday, but the snow was actually better (4 or 5 new smoke helped), crowd light early, no lift lines on REX, but some lift linage at times on other lifts. Less rockage, but the rocks are still out there, always helps to know what yesterday was like to know where not to go today. Bigger actual crowd (based on the parking lots when we left – B lot full), but what lift lines happened could be avoided. The day ended a little early and that is where we found everyone – base lodge was packed to the rafters – must have made management happy. CHex seemed to work all day – wow! Lots of ski amigo company today, very nice, thanks to all the gang. Funest runs – lots of places in the Valley, M-world, Sunnyside, PB (would have been better with more vis when we did it). Yee Haa. ddk

Yes, an excellent day with many ski amigos. After 2 days of turkey eating, a welcomed day of hard skiing. Got the Kkz ski blog up and running for the year web.me.com/snowind/Winter

Did south open today?

Yes, South opened round 10:30 but we didn't venture cross the talus zone, looked nasty, to try it.

I got so lucky. Just happened to be at the base of six when it opened. No one was heading up the Ling, so off I went. After chilling on the summit for about ten minutes, I looked into Pinball. The upper entrance was rocky, but the lower entrance looked creamy. Dropped in and it was the best run I have ever had down Pinball. Untracked snow with only minor sluff. Fun until i got about 3/4's down; a small cliff band, not yet covered. A hairy traverse skiers right into Shanks Chute led to more fabulous turns, all the way down into A-basin. I looked back up, only one set of tracks down the front side of the King.
