Crystal Turkey Day was created by ddk
Decided I needed to go up for at least a half day and it was a good decision. Stressed a little on the early caravan of cars I was in, but the crowd was not really that bad, especially since everything opened (but some chairs did not make the whole day). Went up to the top first thing and did a couple nice deep runs in the Valley, but there was a some wind and temp damage to the lower slopes, pretty heavy for my old rock skis, the Coombas would have been much happier. Lots of people brought out their new big rocker fat skis (water ski sized skis), okay for them except for in the normally rocky areas, which actually were rockier than even I remember ever any year in the past. ( don’t recommend the traverse to Hamburger for Kkz! Don’t recommend if for anyone, where’s that wienie road up there?) Had some filtered sun, felt a lot warmer than it should have…almost wish I worked for the ski patrol and got the big goods on Tuesday. The Crystal employees definitely left their tracks pretty much everywhere during the last few days. Chair problems – REX running pretty much normal early season, lots of stopping mid morning, Chinook express was shut down for at least a few hours 11 – 1pm? Maybe longer. GV and 6 both seemed to work okay, nice to see Bandit working 6 again this year. I want to take the Coombas tomorrow, but the rock situation will probably keep me on the rock skis. ddk

Most the employees were working Tuesday so, Just us non-Crystal employees using leg assisted lifts tracking up the top of the mountain. Looks like we did a good job! ;D

We should have got free passes for the pre-opening skier compaction we did!
We're such humanitarians.... looking out for the safety of others.
I feel proud of the work we did.

Bye the way.... Lower Northway sucks, big time and I've got a big bruise on me bum from hitting a rock.

Good to see you Dan. Ch 6 is running as smooth as ever. It got a total rebuild this past summer , thanks to the talented lift mechanics. The foot of new snow today should cure all ills. Working part time this year , but glad to be back to see all the smiles and good cheers!

Happy Turkey Day and Holidays to all!!

In TGR speak, I believe this is referred to as being "butthurt".
