April 2, 2010, Stevens Pass, good powder

got there around 11 and there was plenty of snow for all. the back side is poop. terribly thick suncrust underneath what was about 5" powder around midday, probably more coverage now. Double Diamond was very good on left side as mentioned in April 1 post. 7th Heaven was good down the eastside, didn't go off the short jaunt to get on the west side. tye mill area was pretty good as well, the bowl held probably the best snow of the day. Groomers never got that terrible packed powder that gets really sticky, it was always soft. The sun even peeked out a couple of times! There was about 6" on the car when we got back, about an inch an hour. snow level is way below the pass. Awesome. should be plenty left for the weekenders.
