In a word - disappointing. The groomers of course were in great shape, and there was a decently soft line down the skier's-left edge of Double Diamond, but Tuesday's powder was destroyed. It looked like the top 4-8" was once pretty nice, but all but the steepest, true north slopes had a surface sun crust and the 12" or so below that top layer consisted of refrozen slush ruts. Sun and showers alternated all day, but the sun wasn't able to soften the ruts and chunks. My knees hurt just thinking about it. Fortunately, it sounds like the next storm will pack a big enough punch to cover the junk...

Thanks for the report. Was it sunny at all? Conditions were great for cragging at Frenchman Coulee.
We are going up Saturday and hope that your prediction of good-over-bad is true. It's snowing outside my window on Hood Canal right now!

Definitely couldn't complain about the weather. Some snow showers, quite a bit of sun - enough to soften the bottom third or so of the backside, but even the slopes exposed to full sun at the top seemed untouched by it. Still, looks like the predicted storm totals will have it back into shape by tomorrow. Have fun!
