Another Stevens spring classic. Lightly attended.
An inch or two of wettish new covered what was initially a frozen base. Stuck to (nice fresh corduroy!) groomers until 10:30 or so when the underlying layer softened up enough. Encountered various species of spring snow both on and off groomed runs. Backside never got over soft, IMO the porridge was just right midday.
Again, amazing bluesky views north to Glacier and SE to Stuart. Temps 5 degrees warmer backside than frontside, not a breath of wind.
Navy jets came through Mill Valley once well below ridgetop. Yo flyboys-why pick the only valley anywhere around that has hightower hightension lines for those stunts?

Love it when the jets buzz you in the mountains. We got buzzed on GP on 9-14-01.
