The bad: the snow was heavier than many of us expected, especially backside which maybe got sun yesterday. Also, my companions commented/complained frequently about "how crowded" it was. I've only been riding on weekdays this year but still, it didn't seem THAT bad. Try a weekend, folks.
The good: Plenty of fresh. Supposedly only 2" new overnight but was a lot of, well, not uncut but not that much cutup/skied out/ shredded today, leftover from 9" new yesterday. And towards the top 1/3 of mtn, snow stayed pretty dry (tho personally, I'd hesitate to call it 'powder.')
Our best run of the day was Big Chief Bowl. But it might have been Chutes if we'd gotten there in the morning. Another good news: the traverse to the chutes was relatively reasonable.)
Viz was generally pretty good.
