Sad news, my wife got knocked down by a boarder who quickly apologize and then started to tell her she should not be standing where we were standing (down hill from him). My wife was not hurt and I quickly turned my attention to this Snow Boarder wheeling out advice to us for standing on (Downill Run) a (Blue Run). I informed him of the skiers code and when he interrupted my rant, I lost it. I am a shy under 265 and a former this and that. By the time I made a quick kick turn and stepped out of my bindings, he slid away down Rolling Knolls, I will be sure to run into him again as he was wearing black baggy snow pants that hung a bit too low on his butt and a helmet full of stickers from free swag give aways, foggy goggles, (I pod) stuff hanging from his ears, I smelled a bit of weed and he had a soaking wet jacket. he won't be to hard to find. I think I am just going to take out the next guy that fits that bill and I should be fine after that.
You had me at Sorry, but lost me with your tooooode Dude.

Yeah, the big mistake was clicking out. GOLDEN RULE: Hard to catch someone sliding away without the skis on, always keep the skis on in a heated dispute. This covers both sides of the coin, but just in case there is a need to book out, or a need to chase them down.
Not sure if I ever seen a snowboarder that fits that description.
I waited at home for the rain to turn to snow then called up at the mountain to see if they were going to open the top. I missed the opening of both REX and 6 by 40 minutes and the place got shredded like a cheese grater. It may have been great of the 1st people through, but it quickly turned into deep, dense, choppy elephant snot in most places, Some spots where the avy debris built up was good skiing or powder bowl. But overall I had to really power the skis and roll with some speed to keep the choppy/bouncy factor down to a minimum. Risk/reward.
Of course if I had Scotsman's floppy sticks, I would have effortlessly descended the slopes with so much grace and ease that I could have performed a surgical procedure without spilling a drop of blood.

Snow was much heavier than yesterday but still some light and deep to be found on the north faces.
