Went up this morning hoping to beat the rising freezing levels. Nope...raining in the parking lot. Snow down low on the first run down Armstrong was so sticky I thought I would have to bail. Chair 2 opened and the snow quality was substantially better up high. Did laps in Edelweiss, down the trees by Chot 6, and a final run down Nash and Snakedance. Heavy but soft and fun, and if you could find untracked it was quite good. Clearing and getting colder when we left at 11:30am.

The wet snow had formed a crunchy crust and al dente death cookies by the time we got to alpental this afternoon. The rain line seemed to be about 100 vf below Debbie Gold. Damn rain! I'd go tour somewhere above 4500' rather than fight over scraps off of 2 tomorrow, I think.

It was snowing dry flakes when we left, but it's going to take at least 3-4 inches to improve conditions off piste.

We got there @ 4 last night and it was not fun. Everything was rain affected, with chunder in some places. Even the groomers were not as fun as they usually are. Total fail this past week after going Wednesday morning and Friday night. So suck...
