Big Sky, MT, February 1, 2010 was created by Keith_Henson
It was snowing hard at the base of the spur road to Big Sky this morning at 4:30. And it was super cold. The snow was so light when I closed my car door it just fell of the windows.
Big Sky was reporting 4 inches. My nephew, Brian, said it would be much deeper up high.
The Tram was late opening as one of the explosive charges was a dud. So we headed to the trees. Hard snow and bumps under the sugar snow on the way but in the trees it was smooth powder heaven. When the Tram opened we headed to Liberty Bowl where it was face shots all the way down.
Another Tram run to Dictator Chute 2 and Rockville off of Lone Peak with the deepest snow yet.
Later the sun cam out while it snowed lightly. We didn't quit until 4. A great day in the Rockies.
A shot of nephew Briain, '97 Dirtbag King, getting in over his head.

You've been a powder magnet on this trip. Looks like snow flurries are forecasted for the next few days. I noticed Brighton picked up another foot.
Thanks for "taking one for the team" back in the PNW.
