Snoqualmie - Summit Central and West - Ice Skating was created by RandoneeRon
Thought I would get in a few quick runs today - headed up to Central first, off the groomed what appeared to be a nice fresh layer turned out to be rock hard ice - and the groomed areas were like skiing on ice cubes mixed with snow. Went over to West which sometimes has better conditions - same story. Was going to head over from Pacific to Wild Side - hit the ungroomed area between and was a layer of about a quarter inch of ice. Gave up and just plunge stepped down to the groomed area. Definitely not a fun day at the pass... Would be interested to hear what the conditions were like at Crystal at higher elevation - due to the inversion layer...

Skied Chair 2 today at Alpental up in the warm part of the inversion.
It was beautifully sunny and the snow was soft and spring-like. Some good skiing compared to the death ice found at the rest of the ski area (and down lower at Alpental). Edelweiss Bowl was the only run open on Chair 2.
Central Express chair was never open today.
