Northway, Campbell, Grubstake, Southback were all closed, and should be good. Left angle trees was closed, but some folks that look a lot like myself partook anyhow. ;) i hear that area was very deep, and barely skied, but that slabbing and sloughing was taking place. certainly worth the effort.

Tomorrow morning will be good. Since it looks like the warming trend is coming later, maybe the afternoon will be good too? Scotsman is correct in that the wind (gusts around 60mph) was a friend today, as well as an enemy.

Good clean fun, except for the sandblastings when the wind really picked up. The snow was a bit spooky - it often had that quality of "shattering" in front of my skis and legs, versus simply poofing up. There were some steep shots through the trees where I really didn't want to stop until I could turn out of the fall line in case there was a wave of snow behind me. I had one decent-sized pocket slab pop out and move several feet downslope at the bottom of one of the bowls (right at the rollover of a small sparsely xmas-treed knoll). All of which reinforced my sense that it was a good day to ride the lifts.

And who doesn't love getting fresh tracks at 4PM on a Sunday?
