November 14th Crystal was created by Randito
Clear and Sunny most of day -- some fog blowing in high mid afternoon. Snow texture was nice and light -- slightly sun effected on Sunnyside (rope ducked to ski SUnnyside). More snow needed as there are scraped off / rocky sections on the main runs. I picked up several new core shots on my old skis. High Campbell opened around 10:30 -- Powder Bowl only -- Powder Bowl completely tracked out by 11:30 -- if not earlier.

At about 1:30 they closed powder bowl and opened the front side. Mandatory side step off the ridge , it was roped off all the way to the throne gate. Rocks all the way across , no way to avoid them. It was the least amount of snow chair 6 has ever opened with. Once off the ridge the powder was deep and smooth , very nice. Took 2 runs off the throne from about the south back gate for the deepest , best turns of the day. The groomed runs , Lucky shot... , rocks everywhere.

Neil Turner, myself and another friend of ours continuously lapped Green Valley chair the entire day Friday. Skied Lucky Shot a few runs as well if not for the sole reason: this is the best it's going to be all season... No rocks, no ice, real soft bumps, crud and only a few poles marking bare spots... and that is probably that last time this year I will appreciated Lucky Shot. :)

Simply fantastic to have skied 3 days already this "official" season!

Agree with posts so far, it was pretty crowded and places got tracked out quickly. But I was lucky enough for 2 runs in Powder Bowl yesterday before most caught on, and found thigh deep powder each run (obviously my first was more pure than second). No new snow last night which was unfortunate, so same snow and sticky in places today. Campbell never opened today, unless late which I doubt. Best snow today (that I found) was Snorting Elk bowl on north facing aspects, very tracked out but I was pleasantly surprised at how much soft snow was still on the steeps!

Two fun days, but rain and wet snow this afternoon and only rain to come :( Hopeful it benefits a good firm base....silver lining. All in all - good November so far, never skied in knee+ deep snow in November before!
