November 7, 2009, Steven's Pass

Took a quick trip up to Steven's Pass on Saturday to hike around with the dogs and play in the snow. I was only expecting about a foot of snow but was pleasantly surprised to find about two feet of thick powder. In retrospect I should have brought the splitboard to lay down some turns.

There were tons of people milling around the lodge area -- sledders, jibbers and gawkers. A few people were hiking up toward Big Chief bowl and getting some good turns. If Steven's gets another foot or two they should be good to open.
