April 5, 2009 Revelstoke Mt., BC - WOW

Looks like a good time - I've been toying with a trip up there for the last year or so............thanks for the post

Oh Revy, <sigh>.  Showed up on a Sunday over the holidays, rolled up about 20 minutes before opening and were about the 10th car in the lot with 9" fresh.  I love it that the trail map shows a bunch of stuff that doesn't exist - yet.  The "upper lodge" was a nice warm hut you can brown bag in, shared with patrol.  Such a nice friendly town with great skiing and without the resort feel.  Also helped that it snowed 5 days straight.  Hopefully progress won't strike too quickly up there.
