Sunday - What a change from Thursday.  Full sun exposure under blue skies.

Even with full sun exposure, it was cool.  Sometimes, I opened up my jacket, mostly I zipped up.  I drank about two pints of water from my little platypus bag bottle.  The lower slopes showed softening snow.  The upper slopes were.... Hmmmm not so soft.  Cooler up at the top of the Rex.

Well... the whole thing felt like Spring skiing, in a positive way.  It was pretty, sunny, snowy....   There was still snow piled up on the trees - that should change fast.

No grooming!  Maybe the lower slopes were too soft to groom.  Maybe there is no need to groom to preserve the snowpack with the season coming to an end.

So... the snow was kind of heavy and chopped.   Green Valley bowl - bumped, chopped, piled.  Snorting Elk Bowl - the field at the end of that very nice cat track - very moguled.

But here is the deal.  I have gotten so strong with all this skiing that I could ski this stuff just fine, if not real fast.  And, I faked my way through the moguls just fine.

If you go skiing tomorrow, it should be because you like being in the snow, under blue skies, with mountain views...  and enjoy to skiing a little.  Just relax and have fun.

I got it together with three other guys and purchased next year's season pass.  My pass this year was "Gold".  A mid-week pass is "Silver".  The special four-at-a-time full week pass is now "Bronze".  $544 plus tax, about $585... I have to divide my credit card bill by four to get the exact amount.  The Bronze pass is more restricted regarding use at other Boyne resort.
