I don't post too many TRs, but couldn't let this one pass. :
While feeling dejected about being out of town and my season pass going to waste and missing yet another powder day at Snoqualmie (12 inches new), I drove up the road and arrived to 39 inches at Red Lodge Mountain. That's the bigest dump of the day across the nation and Solitude, UT came in a distant 2nd, with a mere 17 inches.
What's it like when over 3 feet of new powder fall on the local ski hill?
It's such a genuine rarity that both staff and the skiing public were oblivious how to proceed.
Despite it all, freshies were had and smiles dominated the local landscape.
Last major storm system (Monday) the snow was deeper, but accompanying strong winds made for some funky drifts. Today's snowpack was utterly consistent and much more enjoyable.
Tomorrow Cole Creek lift (closed today) reopens and the fun begins yet again! Following Bridger's lead, Red Lodge is extending their season.
Sorry no pictures, too busy trying to breathe through the white cloud, from first chair to closing bell.

If memory serves right, they started with 48" of new.
Now they finish with a bang, what happened in between?
Glad you were there at the right time!
