Wow! Crystal was excellent today, the last of three days of a skiing staycation since Thursday last week to celebrate my birthday. As with last Friday, visibility was poor, ranging from decent to 50-yards or less. And the fog made things seem much cooler-like mid-winter. It was hard to find poor quality snow on the mountain, and was best described as packed powder. It was so pleasant to actually ski packed powder on all the runs. Northway was holding up well on Bruce's Bowl, Paradise Bowl, and Spook Hill. West and Bill's Face still had some untracked pow scraps. The mountain was empty of people.
The temps look to be continued cold, so conditions should continue to be mid-winter. It was snowing lightly when I left at 1:30. Get out there and enjoy these conditions if you can!
