While Jill is at Schweitzer doing her "Chicks on Sticks" trip, I'm skiing in EWA and ID. Spent a day at 49 Degrees North and this place is a real gem. Over 2300 acres with some of the nicest glades I've experienced. The real deal begins Monday, March 30 thru Sunday April 5 when you can ride the lifts for FREE. Apparently Toyota has been sponsoring this for years and next week is spring break. Their last day of operation is April 5. The snowpack is excellent, the access road is improved and in good shape and I imagine staying in Chewelah which is 10 miles from the ski area would be cheap. Plus there's a small casino in Chewelah if you're lucky. I was impressed with the terrain and if you are in the area it would be worth a day, especially if they pick up a few inches to ski their glades.
