The snow report was 5" new and 31 degrees and snowing hard. Yes it was. By the time Silver Fir started loading the temperature was 33 and still snowing hard with wet flakes. It was sticky except for the steep pitches, then slow motion skiing on the mellow terrain. Made a few runs under the lift line while it was untracked and decided to save the energy for Wednesday. You could feel the firm base on the steeper pitches and the snow was sloughing a bit.
