March 14, 2009, Alpy Pi

Forgotten skins aborted a tour and led to an inbounds day at Alpental. Will and I checked out the sidecountry for the first time - fun. Snowed continuously all day. Skied 'till 9, when a binding pulled out of a ski (anyone have a good Seattle source for Helicoils?). New snow is a little heavy, especially down low, but lightening. Pass closed at 10:30 pm for avy work. ~6" on the upper mountain after chair 2 closed by the time we left. Tomorrow should be fine.

Adam at Pro Ski helicoiled my Insanes when I pulled the back half of my tele binding out of one of them. Looks like a solid job, though I've not mounted them again to test it out.
