Thursday - Perfect groomer day, not too bad off groom.

Snappy cold in the early morning.  Severe clear - blue sky, total sunshine.  Lots of fresh grooming.  After all the dumps lately.... eventually has to get groomed.  Lower Bull Run had corn-row grooming!   However, Deer Fly was chopped and was getting slightly frozen - calling for heavy crud-buster skis.

Mid-Day got a little hot.   I was standing around in Snorting Elk Bowl and suddenly had to vent down to the bare metal.  Had pit vents open the rest of the day.  But it cooled off later in the day and while apre-skiing on the patio in the sun... it really was getting cold.

Off groom - on the lower slopes... a little heavy, sometimes getting a little crusty.  On the upper slopes... still had some light pow.

I was thinking that this was a day of perfect spring skiing... but cool temps still prevail, preserving the snow pack.  This will be a good March.   We all know what happens when March is over with... so get the goods while you can.

It was a perfect day for carving the groomers.  Jill, Keith and I enjoyed the excellent conditions.  A sunblock day.   :D
