About 2" of new, which sounds like it was less than even Snoq had (last little snow seems to have had a south to north bias).

But hey 2" is better than nothing. The usual "dust on crust" sobriquet did not quite apply because could almost float it where it was lower angle. Spice on ice? Blanky on manky? Was harder to do the steeper runs because when you did touch down would either get a burst of speed from ice or a chatter from something frozen.

Spent nearly the whole day on backside messing around in the triangle between the lifts. Can verify that can find the legendary still good old north powder in teh Stevens area if can find just the right facing and situation to look (although that was not within ski area bounds).

Nice day, sunny no wind temps hovered right around freezing so snow not in immediate decline. More people than you'd expect for a random Wednesday.

Groomers were pretty good but I mostly only bothered with those toward end of day. Backside groomers were a lot less icy then when I last was there 4 weeks ago, I think the 2" did help those too.

After spending a few runs on the backside making a lot of noise with the edges, I checked out Big Chief Bowl, and was surprised to find much deeper fluffy stuff over there. Especially in the trees on the left, much more than the 2-5 inches posted. Really nice and dry. Edges didn't find the bottom. Entrance was a bit scraped away and boilerplate for first 15 feet or so.
