February 10, 2009 Summit Central

Ahhhh ! We actually skied 2" new with temperatures in the low 20's on groomers with snow flurries all day.  It felt like winter again.  The slopes were deserted and the groomers were ideal for carving.  It seemed rather unusual but they groomed the steep pitch under the Silver Fir lift and it provided a rare treat. It seems rather unfair that the Hood Canal would receive a powder dump and the Cascades a dusting.

Tell me about it! I found out as I arrived in Belfair that school was cancelled, now we have to make it up, and I couldn't ski. :
