Same conditions on Friday as the last six weeks, though a bit softer. The off-piste is still unpleasant with a teeth-jaring texture. Visibility was poor on the mid-to-upper mountain, keeping most people on the lower mountain lifts. The sun broke out around noon and moved in and out for an hour until it returned to pea soup again. But it was a fun day of fast groomers and small crowds. Campbell and Northway lifts closed still.
We saw a trace of snow and yes, ithe snowpack is starting to get a bit thin. The exposed rocks under REX on Sunnyside have made that line unskiable. The top of Upper Ferks was littered with small rocks, try to avoid dropping in along the ridge run there to access Sunnyside or Iceberg. Hopefully the weather pattern will turn in our favor, in the meantime, get your turns in now! It always beats work.
