Yesterday, Friday, I awoke to a dusting and reports of a couple of inches up on the mountain., And good and cold. The snow was very nice. Old snow was still soft evne on the bumps though many off piste areas in the trees was pretty hard/breakable crust, "hateful"...

Am pleased that Team Wally is here in Big Sky too so we had some good runs and some hot tubbin' at the whitewater inn after a day in the slopes.

Visibility was a big issue. No line on the tram so my nephew, with whom I'm staying, took us to the top of 11,000 ft. Lone Peak where you could see nothing. Did the Gullies Traverse by feel and then skied the Gullies under the tram in improved but compromised visibility.

It snowed hard during the day and in the afternoon visibility improved. Another couple inches last night.

Pic is of a skier coming down the renowned, Big Coulour.

Fresh powder and bluebird skies at Big Sky on Saturday. Temperatures in the teens and 6 inches of light dry fluff  made some some fine runs with frist tracks down the South Face of Lone Peak (Turkey Traverse). Also hiked Bone Crusher for some freshies.

Tram line was over 20 minutes but did go up to the top once in the afternoon for a run down Lenin.

Dummy Drop was held here yesterday and Team Wally announced some, but not nearly enough, of the event.

Big Sky is a really rocky place and hard on skies. You can never assume here that you won't hit a rock, no matter where you are.

Forecast for today is for sun and some new snow coming tomorrow.

Come back home immediately. You are obviously a snow magnet and your absence is causing our drought.
You need to take one for the team!

This does seem to correspond pretty closely. I suppose that I could pick up on the remainder of your trip and allow you to return to the barren wasteland that is the Cascades. You know, for the team.

I'm heading to Missoula in a few hours and skiing at Montana Snowbowl tomorrow, possibly Lookout on Thursday, and home Friday. I hope I bring good luck in the form of massive dumps.
