Oh yeah.....wheres the PowMow TR....Lightning Ridge?Cobabe??
I went to PowMow on Sunday. The temps were in the teens and though the sun shone all day it never warmed up much. Off-piste snow was hard and hateful caused by high temperatures on Saturday. Conditions got only slightly better in the later afternoon with some softening. The powder left was mostly breakable crust though I did find a few small sections in the trees. The groomers were soft, fast, and big fun.
PowMow has 3 lifts (Timberline, Paradise, Hidden Lake) and a couple of rope tows. I went all over the mountain. Didn't see any people snow cat skiing. As it was Superbowl Sunday there were few people there. A fun day on a mountain that is more fun when you can get off the groomers.
I'm in Tetonia and looking forward to a sunny day (or fog) at the Grand Targhee. Snow is predicted to start here on Thursday.
