Summit west was untouched fresh , if flat, at 4pm yesterday. About six inches of very nice medium density pow. Ridges were a little scrubbed and gullies a little deeper. It was fun -- saw a few injuries due to buck (aka first powder in 3 weeks) fever. Some people were going too big for 6 inches on top of brick hard ice. A few paid with what looked like season enders. Understandable though as one rarely touched bottom while riding.
Ducked into some completely unskied area, and it was slabby in places -- broke off some crumply chunks in the steep trees.
